James F. Misiano has been serving Long Island and the greater Metropolitan area since 1980. He practices law with distinction and integrity, always striving to do whatever it takes to serve in his clients’ best interests. Mr. Misiano is a man of the community, in addition to helping countless clients with their legal claims.

Well established with a distinguished history in the legal field, Mr. Misiano has earned the respect of his peers and clients with his perseverance in the pursuit of justice. His journey started as he graduated cum laude with a degree in American History from Hofstra University in 1976, which included honors from the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society. He then earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law in 1979, having published several articles in the International Law Journal along the way.

Among his many accolades, Mr. Misiano has received an American Jurisprudence award in corporate law. He was admitted to practice in New York State and the Federal Eastern District in 1980. A certified arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, Mr. Misiano is also a member of the American Bar Association and past president of the Columbian Lawyers Association of Suffolk County.

Mr. Misiano proudly imparts his academic and professional knowledge to better the younger generations, through his work as an adjunct professor at NYIT. He has taught courses in political science and history for more than five years.

Above and beyond his profession, Mr. Misiano shows the same dedication in his personal life as a family man. He and his wife are proud to have raised three children and they now enjoy watching their two grandchildren grow up.


Always aware of the hardships of the surrounding community, Mr. Misiano is constantly involved in charity work that focuses on the welfare of those less fortunate. He sits on the board of directors of the World Charity Art Foundation and is a past president and charter member of the Kiwanis Club of the Islips-Bayshore.
