Michael is a NY State Licensed Acupuncturist, who received his Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine from New York College of Health Professions in 2014. While there he studied Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Herbal formulas, and the physical arts of Tai Chi. He also has a bachelors degree in Mathematics from Cornell University. Having worked a few years in professional offices, he decided to change careers in 2009, when he began his studies in Health Sciences. He was drawn to the idea of, using safe and effective traditional medicines, as a useful means to address many modern health issues. By doing so, he hopes to have a positive impact on disease prevention, and reducing the rising costs of healthcare. He also enjoys martial arts, and studying music.
Michael believes traditional healing, and modern medicine, can work side by side to provide a better health care model. He believes deeply in the healing power of nature, and that compassion is humanity’s greatest virtue. He feels very lucky to be able to put these beliefs into practice, and help people in the process. He has experience treating many health issues, and is currently focusing on promoting a better understanding of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Western Culture.
