Touch of Health NY Massage P.C. is a therapist owned practice dedicated to bringing you excellent bodywork and service.

There are many benefits of massage therapy that only increase with frequency of treatment. Reduction of pain and muscle tension, as well as an improvement in posture are just some of them.

Here is a list of some of the services Touch of Health offers.

Therapeutic Massage - Customize your massage to what you need the most. Choose one or a combination of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Acupressure, or Medical Massage.

*Add Hot Stone or Aromatherapy to any massage.

CranioSacral Therapy(CST) is used for a wide range of symptoms associated with, chronic neck and low back pain, chronic fatigue, stress and tension-related problems, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ), central nervous system disorders, depression and anxiety, fybromyalgia, and hyperactivity and learning disorders. Due to its gentleness and effectiveness, many people include CST as a component in their personal wellness programs. They report having more energy, sleeping better and being sick less often.

Myofascial ReleaseFascia is tough connective tissue that spreads throughout the body in a three-dimensional web from head to toe. The fascia is everywhere, surrounding every muscle, bone, nerve, blood vessel and organ all the way down to the cellular level. Generally, the fascia system provides support, stability, and cushioning. It is also a system of locomotion and dynamic flexibility forming muscle. Myofascial Release is a hands-on soft tissue technique that facilitates a stretch into the restricted fascia. A sustained pressure is applied into the restricted tissue barrier: after 90-120 seconds the tissue will undergo histological length changes allowing the first release to be felt. The therapist follows the release into a new tissue barrier and holds. After a few releases the tissue will become softer and more pliable. The restoration of length and health to the myofascial tissue will take the pressure off the pain sensitive structures such as nerves and blood vessels, as well as restoring alignment and mobility to the joints.
